2. 100% On-Device Processing Principle
Deep Work Filter operates on an offline-first, on-device architecture. We do not collect, track, sell, or monetize your personal messages, contact lists, notification contents, or browsing history.
- No Notification Content Storage: We do not read, transmit, or store message content, sender information, or notification text.
- No Telemetry Tracking: Your app usage patterns and session durations remain strictly on your device.

3. Android Permissions & Purpose of Use
Deep Work Filter requests specific Android system permissions strictly to perform its core functionality:

Notification Listener (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE): Used exclusively to evaluate the package name of incoming alerts against your created workspace whitelist. Only if an incoming alert matches an allowed app is the workspace audio tone played.

Do Not Disturb & Notification Policy (ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY): Used only to mute system notification streams during active focus sessions and restore your original volume when focus ends.

Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Ensures the focus timer remains active and prevents Android from terminating the background filtering process while you are focusing.

4. Firebase & Optional Cloud Services
Deep Work Filter utilizes standard Google Firebase infrastructure for security and quality assurance:

Firebase Authentication: When you sign in with Google or Email/Password, Firebase securely authenticates your account. Profile details (name, email, avatar) are saved to personalize your experience.

Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized crash diagnostics to help us identify issues and improve app stability.

User Feedback (Optional): If you submit feedback via the app settings, your message, rating, IP address, and device model are securely submitted to customer support.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
All focus history and workspace configurations remain on your device's local storage. You can clear this data at any time by clearing app storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. You may also request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team.
